Advent: practicing hope with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind

Advent begins on Sunday, November 29. It’s the beginning of our new church year when we move liturgically into what is known as Year B. We have again ordered the day by day meditation booklets from Living Compass, and this year’s is entitled “Living Well Through Advent: Practicing Hope with All Your Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind.” Featured Writers include The Rev. Catherine Tyndall Boyd, The Rev. Canon Anita Braden, Robbin Brent, The Rev. Seth Dietrich, The Rt. Rev. Jeff W. Fisher, The Rev. Jan Kwiatkowski, and The Rev. Dr. Scott Stoner. If you would like a copy mailed to your home, please email Chelsea at They will be mailed the last week of November. A practice of daily reading a short meditation prepares the heart for the coming of Christ with a focus on hope.
