vestry class of 2019-2022
I became a parishioner of St. John’s upon moving to Old Saybrook in 1983, along with my husband and two children. My children were raised attending St. John’s Sunday School and later become confirmands and acolytes. My husband was also a member of the Vestry and was active in the Building and Grounds Committee for many years. I am now retired from a long career with the Old Saybrook Public Schools. Over the years, I have been a Sunday School teacher, an usher, and greeter and helped decorate the church for special events. Currently, I’m serving my second term (a decade later) on the Vestry, host coffee hours, attend bible study programs and look forward to our social gatherings that bring folks from all services together. I also enjoy being a member of the prayer shawl team and a volunteer worker at our renowned annual rummage sale.
My family has grown and changed in these past years as has our church. Through all these life changes, St. John’s has always nourished my faith and offered me the opportunity to be part of a wonderful church family committed to the needs of others.
